AeroMach Risers
These Aeromach Pullback Risers place your hands into a natural comfort zone by raising the bars 2" and putting your grip point 1-1/2" closer to you, while allowing you to retain your stock throttle and brake cables.
With only 250 miles on my bike, I really haven't made any long trips. The longest maybe a 40 miles round trip and noticed that I wasn't quite comfortable on long straight stretches.
I am of average height, 180cm tall (5' 11") and wondered if it was my posture or something else. Doing a little research, I found a few things about the stock handlebars and then,
by accident had a picture taken of me on the highway. I noticed I was leaning forward to basically reach for the handlebars.
The cure...? Handlebar risers. There are a few manufacturers around, but found that the Aeromach 4" risers had a bucket of positive comments. The length of 4" is the maximum amount one can raise
the handlebar, without making changes to the stock cables.
So $140 later, I receive them...
I tape and cover everything that I may drop a tool on...
Take the stock clamp off....
Remove the handlebar from the clamp....
Replace the clamp with the new risers... I actually had to remove the headlight here to make space for the wrench to get in the area of the upper triple tree and loosen the nuts
that hold the clamp.
Remove the top caps from the risers....
Place and center handlebar on the riser clamps...
Place top caps in place....
End result....
