Browser back button solved in Flash

This has been a thorn in my side, and a big drawback when comparing Flash to non-rich clients, but here I offer a simple solution. I made this simple, 5-frame application, using Flash, Javascript and ASP, but with little work, it can be adapted to CFMX, JSP or other server application technologies. Awaiting

I passed the Macromedia Flash MX Developer exam a couple of weeks ago and am anxiously waiting for my name to be added to the Macromedia Certified Developers list. Macromedia updates this list the 30th of every month, but since DevCon had a big promotion on getting certified on location, maybe they are delaying the updates to obtain all passing scores from the event. Future of the web

I noticed this great example of an Intranet portal that illustrates how Rich Internet Applications gave this organization’s employees a seamless interface to vast amounts of customer and sales data. Previously, employees had to wade through multiple systems and pages to gather the necessary information for a given account. In the process, too much time was wasted searching for key information. My first entry

I build this blogger in just a few hours and did not have much time to get it working properly, but I will keep working on it as I go. I learned today how to add custom node items and help files to the reference panel in Flash MX. This is a great feature as you can include the XML files when you make your own components and Flash MX will load on start-up the help files in the reference panel. You can also include the syntax highlight color for your methods and codehints. The XML looks a bit complex to start with, but it is not too difficult.
